    we currently use VNC to have remote access from our home to our office, but it works only off and on. Is there a better one to use?

    I’ve got a macbook. I’m going on vacation. Desktop computer at home is a dell thats about 4 years old with Windows XP. Anyway I would be able to remote access it and turn on the web cam to see what’s going on at my house? The webcam is external and plugged in with a USB chord.

    I am the unofficial computer tech for my family, and I would solve any problems that happened to our computer. Now I am away at college, and if something happens I want to fix it using remote access, instead of doing it over the phone. Is there a way to do this? My family has Windows XP Home, and I have Vista 64 bit. Also, how do you do this Vista to Vista (to help my grandmother)?

    My friend and I want to network between ourselves: share files, remote assist, etc. One of us is in Germany the other in the USA. Can we set up a network between us that will allow remote access at such distance? We would like to see what the other has onscreen and to be able to take control of the others pointer.

    In GoToMyPc, the software makes it so that you can print a document from the remote computer to a local printer from the computer you are accessing the remote computer from. We are running Windows server 2003 and when you connect through RDC there is an option for printers. This is checked but when you log on, your local printer does not attach to your TS computer. Anyone know how to achieve such a goal?

    I brought my laptop into work today and they set up remote access. I have a password and everything on something called a VPN, and every time I try to connect to it, it says Error 800: unable to establish a VPN connection. Does the computer at my work have to be on for me to be able to log into the other computer?

    My mother lives 100 miles away and I am looking for an easy to use (for her) and preferable free remote access software package that will let me access her computer from mine to help her with problems when she has them.
