We were discussing about how to get one way links to your site. More one way link your site has, chances of getting higher ranking in Search Engines becomes higher. And better ranking always results in more visitors. Two most useful and popular ways of getting one way links are Directory Listing and Article Distribution. Let’s discuss these processes one by one.

Let us first discuss the procedure of Directory Listing. Here directory means web directories that list websites categorically. There are lots and lots of such web directories across the net. And most of these directories do not require reciprocal link to get a listing. All you have to do select the most suitable category for your website and then submit your site in that category. The editorial team of these web directories will review your site to ensure that it goes to the proper category. Once this link is live, you get a good link from a relevant page.

There are some web directories which offer paid listing as well. If the directory is really good, there is no harm in going for paid listing. Directories can send huge traffic to your site since these are very much popular among people. And traffic that comes from directory pages are more likely to click on the AdSense of your site as they come from a related page, e.g. if your site is about traveling, you must be listed under traveling portals in the web directories. Now the visitors that come to your site from those directories are interested in traveling for sure, otherwise they would not have browsed the traveling portal section! That is the reason most people prefer directory listing as it gives more prospective visitors.

Another way of getting one way links is through article submission. Here you create good articles on different topics; it may be about your site, your product or anything that relates to it. Now you can get these articles published in article directories and place a link to your site from the article. There are tons of article directories available on the net. So the process would not be difficult for you at all. Links from articles are considered to be high quality links and Search Engine will grade you with better rating for such links. Hence consistent article submission is important to retain a good position in the Search Engines.

We have learned various processes of getting traffic to your site. The next important thing is to hold the traffic on your site. If your visitors do not stay on your site for at least few minutes, you may end up getting no clicks on AdSense at all.
