How To Get Free Links To Your Website - Link Exchange
Link Exchange or Link Trading is perhaps the oldest process to get free text links to another website and it still works. Earlier Search Engines used to consider number of backlinks only to list websites in the Search Engine Result Page. So link exchange gained huge popularity. However, almost all the Search Engines altered their strategies later on, but the link factor is still effective.
The benefits of backlinks are:
• They help to get better ranking in Search Engines
• They drive traffic to your website
Now, the process of link trading or link exchange is quite simple. All you have to do is run a search to get in touch with some good websites related to yours and request them to link back to you. If your website is really good one, you can get text links with less or no effort. However, a good site also needs promotional support to get noticed. Hence Link Requests are not at all bad.
Now webmasters receive hundreds of such requests for free text links to another website every day. So you have to innovative while sending your text link request. Now, this is a bit difficult to teach someone on how to be innovative. However, little decorum should be maintained so that your emails do not go to trash, e.g. use a catchy subject line, do not send the same email to all; use a customized content indeed and so on.
Also, some of the webmasters will not agree to link to .you without any direct benefit. They may ask you to link them back from your website. This is what we call as Link Exchange; link in turn of link – what a nice idea! Unfortunately some Search Engines do not prefer such kind of activities and mark the strategy as reciprocal link exchange.
As a result the concept of three way link exchange evolved, where you get a link from site A to your site, but give a link to site A from another site of yours. This way you can minimize the risks of getting detected by Search Engines and continue receiving traffic to your site uninterruptedly.
However, the best quality links are those for which you do not give a reciprocal link. And getting such links is really difficult unless your site is famous and popular. So how to solve this problem? Is there any way at all to get one way links to your site? Will any site agree to link to you even if your site is comparatively new? Well the answer is yes. We will be discussing some of the easiest ways to get one way text links in the next chapter.
