Little effort can fetch huge traffic

We have discussed various ways to get traffic so far. Here in this section we will take a casual approach to bring traffic; however, the latent intention is still the same. Let’s concentrate on two most popular web platforms, Forums and Blogs. Both of these platforms help to build up community. If your site is not a big one and you do not have the provision of starting your own forum and blog, there is nothing to worry about. Let’s target some good forums and blogs and participate their honestly.

By honest participation I mean true contribution on your part. Active forums are full of discussions and lots of interesting conversations take place there. You need not be an expert to post your comments there. Even asking questions in forums is considered as participation. All you have to do is give a link to your site within your forum signature. Now, whenever you make a comment, your signature appears there and you get a link.

If you participate in such forums which are related to your site chances of getting visitors is high. However, I would not say promoting your website from the very first day. As that may result in a ban and you may get tagged as a spammer. So start asking questions or give your feedback wherever you can and try to build up a relationship with other members of the board gradually. Once you gain a reputation, you get more freedom there.

Another effective platform is blog. Blogs used to be considered as personal diary or online journal in earlier days. But now blogs have come up as a marketing tool. You can attract huge traffic to your website through your blog. Even you can display your AdSense in the blogs as well. So Blogs double the earning opportunity for you.

Most bloggers prefer to be connected. So you can always request co-bloggers to link to your blog from their blogroll. This way you can get backlinks and traffic through a single shot. I would also suggest you to visit as many blogs you can, read the entries and then leave a relevant comment there. But you have to be a bit cautious here, as an irrelevant comment may be considered as spam and get deleted by the blogger. But once your comment in live on the blog, lots of people would come to your website following your comments only.

So getting traffic to your site would not be much difficult for you any more! Let’s concentrate on how to hold the traffic on your site.
