One of the main organizers of this years Hack in the Box conference which will take place in July 2010, Dhillon Andrew Kannabhiran, claims in an interview on WebWereld ( that Windows 7 contains severe flaws which compromise the overall security of the system. According to Mr. Kannabhiran is this a “quite fundamental problem, because an attacker basically can manipulate the PC’s memory.” The issue lies the motherboard (and DMA) of the 64-bit edition of Win7 and causes a weakness, so the attacker can bypass the operation system’s security tools.

So far Microsoft haven’t commented on the issue and is most likely not going to untill the conference takes place.
